Estimation of Water Demand of Agriculture Sector by Water-Yield Function (Case Study: Sistan Province)
In this study, yield-water and profit function was used to obtain water demand function in agriculture sector. The results showed that the ratio of actual to potential Evapotranspiration had positive, significant effecton the ratio of actual to potential yield for wheat and barley. Also, square ratio of actual to potential Evapotranspiration had negative, significant relationship. After estimat...
متن کاملMechanisms underlying plant resilience to water deficits: prospects for water-saving agriculture.
Drought is one of the greatest limitations to crop expansion outside the present-day agricultural areas. It will become increasingly important in regions of the globe where, in the past, the problem was negligible, due to the recognized changes in global climate. Today the concern is with improving cultural practices and crop genotypes for drought-prone areas; therefore, understanding the mecha...

MCE modeling in zoning areas with warm water and cold water aquaculture capability by IDRISI (case study: Golestan province)
This study aimed to fulfill demands of information on aquaculture capability and to estimate ecological potential in Golestan Province. Aquaculture site selection (warm and cold water fishes) was conducted by MCE[1] method using GIS. The aquaculture suitability maps were produced by multi-criteria evaluation model (MCE), Fuzzy and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in ArcGIS 9.3. The most appropr...
متن کاملInvestigating Low-Carbon Agriculture: Case Study of China’s Henan Province
Developing low-carbon agriculture requires investigating the trajectory, decoupling statuses, and driving forces of agricultural carbon emissions. This study explored the evolution of agricultural carbon emissions based on 18 kinds of major carbon emission sources in Henan Province of China, which produces approximately one-tenth of China’s total grain output. We then analyzed the relationship ...
